Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings and ensure timely remittance.
- Audit Support: Serve as the primary contact for external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting workflows.
- Payroll Oversight: Review payroll reports and ensure accurate compensation processing.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Remote Work: Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office space.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
