Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy
- Lead accounts payable/receivable operations and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct financial variance analysis and reporting to senior leadership
- Develop and implement internal controls for financial processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and modeling
- Ensure audit readiness and support external audit procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Proven experience with month-end closing processes and reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- Remote work experience with self-discipline and time management
