Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage complex reconciliations for multi-entity accounts and investment portfolios
- Lead month-end closing processes with zero tolerance for material discrepancies
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models for strategic planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and variance analysis
- Maintain internal controls documentation and SOX compliance procedures
- Coach junior accountants using our proprietary performance metrics system
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience with multi-entity portfolios
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven track record of leading SOX audits and internal control implementation
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail in financial reporting
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for client-facing interactions
- Experience with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Asana, Zoom)
- Active Maryland CPA license required
