Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with precision
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements and variance reports
- Lead internal controls implementation and SOX compliance initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and strategic planning
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and scenario analysis
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize department workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance + 5+ years relevant experience
- CPA certification required (active license)
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and tax compliance standards
- Proven experience with multi-state tax filings and audits
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong remote work capabilities with self-management discipline
- Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms (e.g., Xero)
