Responsibilities
- Process Payroll: Accurately calculate and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 200+ employees using ADP Workforce Now.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all payroll activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including FLSA and tax laws.
- Data Integrity: Maintain accurate employee records, timekeeping data, and payroll files; perform regular audits to prevent discrepancies.
- Reporting: Prepare and distribute payroll-related reports, W-2s, and 1099s to employees and tax authorities on time.
- Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, resolving issues with empathy and efficiency.
- System Maintenance: Collaborate with IT and Finance to troubleshoot payroll software issues and implement updates.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in payroll processing (ADP or Paychex experience required).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and payroll administration software.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data accuracy in high-volume environments.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff and management.
- Integrity: Ability to handle sensitive financial information with the utmost confidentiality.
