Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify data accuracy, and issue payments while tracking and collecting outstanding accounts.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring all timesheets and deductions are calculated accurately.
- Filing & Documentation: Organize and maintain physical and digital filing systems for financial documents, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Audit Assistance: Provide support to external auditors during annual audits, providing requested documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is critical); experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors, verify data integrity, and maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with team members and management.
- Organizational Skills: Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
