Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for Tampa-based clients
- Prepare monthly financial statements and tax documentation packages
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks cloud accounting systems for remote teams
- Conduct bank reconciliations and variance analysis for multiple entities
- Support annual audits by organizing financial records and schedules
- Collaborate with CFOs to provide strategic financial insights for Tampa businesses
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (equivalent experience accepted)
- Proven expertise in multi-state payroll processing and sales tax compliance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and dashboard creation
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to identify financial discrepancies
- Strong written communication skills for remote client interactions
- Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms (Xero, FreshBooks)
