Apex Financial Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Remote Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. Based in New York, NY, this is a fully remote position offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to our growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining accurate financial records. We pride ourselves on our modern approach to finance and are looking for a self-starter who thrives in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Manage vendor accounts, including setting up new vendors and maintaining master data.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and process payments via ACH, wire transfers, and checks.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for accounts payable documentation.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes as needed.
- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding billing inquiries and payment status.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or General Ledger.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and internal controls.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Valid work authorization in the United States.
