Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with remote teams in New Orleans, LA, and California to support financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
- Maintain and update the general ledger system, auditing financial records for discrepancies.
- Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and support for management decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions required).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Experience working with clients in the New Orleans or California regions is preferred.
