Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and authorization before posting payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial records.
- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding billing inquiries and payment schedules.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) to manage accounts payable ledgers.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company financial policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite.
- Strong knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and data entry accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Valid New York State work authorization.
