In this pivotal role, you will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting while collaborating with our team across the country.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable with precision.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure full compliance with regulations.
- Conduct month-end and year-end close procedures efficiently and accurately.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Perform variance analysis and assist the senior team in the annual budget preparation process.
- Ensure all financial data is securely backed up and accessible for remote audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros, and formulas).
- Strong understanding of US tax laws, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
