Responsibilities
- Oversee the full cycle of accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with precision.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and GAAP standards.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes efficiently.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to senior management.
- Reconcile bank accounts and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants during audits.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a decentralized office.
