Key Responsibilities
As our Remote Accountant, you will be responsible for the following core functions:
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) to record and categorize financial transactions.
- Generate detailed reports for management to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a preference for remote or hybrid work experience.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- CPA certification or active CPA candidacy is a significant plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
