Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries with a high degree of accuracy.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and assist with the month-end close process in a timely manner.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly to ensure financial health.
- Assist with tax preparation and filings, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts and identify potential variances for review.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- 3+ years of accounting experience in a professional setting, preferably within a remote or hybrid environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
