Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure balances are correct.
- Process accounts payable and receivable invoices, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Assist with tax preparation and annual audits by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Perform variance analysis and month-end close procedures efficiently.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize cash flow management and budget planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
