Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure timely filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure financial controls are operating effectively and efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Proven experience with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment.
