Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger entries and ensure the accuracy of all financial data and transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state income tax returns and provide documentation for external audits.
- Maintain and update the company’s fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and timely.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal processes and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and MS Excel (advanced functions including VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and high accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting tight deadlines.
