Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- AP/AR Management: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices and collections.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll data, ensuring tax filings and compliance are met.
- Bookkeeping Support: Maintain and update the general ledger system using advanced accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Compliance: Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure the company remains compliant with federal and state requirements.
- Remote Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and clients via digital platforms, attending virtual meetings as required.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP) and cloud-based accounting software (QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or similar).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies and errors in financial data.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Self-Motivation: Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Location Requirement: Must reside in or willing to relocate to the Fort Worth, TX area for in-person team meetups (if applicable).
