Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure all tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to streamline financial processes and reporting.
- Communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders through clear, written reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA certification is highly preferred but not mandatory for exceptional candidates.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment with excellent time management skills.
