Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and reconciled on a monthly basis.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely collection of receivables.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure all financial processes comply with internal controls and relevant tax regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a significant plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a remote or hybrid setting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Self-Motivation: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently without direct supervision.
