Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Support accounts payable/receivable functions including invoice processing and payment verification
- Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure transaction accuracy across multiple accounts
- Participate in internal audits and compliance documentation preparation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and controls
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial records in compliance with GAAP
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged)
- 1-2 years of accounting internship or relevant experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional certification (CPA or CMA) in progress considered advantageous
