Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and state-specific regulations (IN/IL)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Conduct internal audits and process improvements to enhance financial accuracy
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP) for transaction processing and reporting
- Support tax preparation and documentation for Indiana and Illinois clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting or public accounting
- CPA certification preferred (or actively pursuing)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IN/IL tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for remote client interactions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
