Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Manage general ledger accounts and perform complex monthly reconciliations for multiple corporate entities.
- Assist in the annual external audit process, preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring full compliance with California tax laws.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide training on internal controls and financial software.
- Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process for department heads and executives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; Master’s degree or MBA is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
