Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger & Reconciliation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including daily reconciliation of bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure all tax filings and regulatory requirements are met, assisting in external and internal audits with precision.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely collection of receivables.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current accounting workflows and implement automated solutions to streamline operations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team to support budgeting processes and financial forecasting.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel (advanced functions), and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Sage).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated individual capable of working independently in a remote setting with strong time management skills.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to data entry and reporting to ensure zero discrepancies.
