Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss reports.
- Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance and month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Assist with tax preparation and filings, ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Utilize QuickBooks, Xero, or similar software to manage financial data.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal controls and reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors in financial data.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting to management.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
