Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and variance analysis to identify trends and areas for cost reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support for business decision-making.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for all transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is a significant plus.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US tax laws and financial reporting regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
