Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve financial reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of professional accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (Advanced).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- CPA certification is a plus.
