Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance using industry-standard accounting software.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements for greater efficiency.
- Collaborate with the finance team to budget for future growth and manage forecasting models.
- Process payroll entries and maintain employee expense reports with high attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in general accounting, preferably within a remote or hybrid environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or Sage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal control procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
