As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our employees are compensated accurately and on time. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals who are eager to learn and excel in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring zero errors.
- Calculate gross pay, deductions, and net pay while adhering to federal and state tax regulations (IRS and Texas Comptroller).
- Maintain and update employee timekeeping records and payroll databases.
- Respond professionally to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax forms, and payroll discrepancies.
- Prepare and distribute necessary payroll reports to management and compliance officers.
- Ensure all payroll documentation is filed correctly for internal audits and tax purposes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive financial data with absolute confidentiality.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
