Responsibilities
- Execute the end-to-end payroll process (weekly and bi-weekly) using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage and maintain employee payroll records, including tax forms (W-2s, W-4s), direct deposit setups, and address changes.
- Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, garnishments, and 401(k) contributions.
- Prepare and review payroll tax filings, including federal, state, and local returns to ensure full compliance with Arizona and federal regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries regarding pay stubs, deductions, and time-off balances.
- Collaborate with the HR department to resolve discrepancies in timekeeping data and address employee compensation questions.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll reports to identify potential errors and prevent fraud.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in payroll processing or a related financial accounting role.
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) is required.
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA, FICA, federal, and state wage and hour laws.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts clearly.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
