Responsibilities
- Process and distribute payroll for all employees accurately and timely, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Review, verify, and audit timesheets, leave requests, and payroll adjustments to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including tax filings, garnishments, 401(k) deductions, and other voluntary deductions.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management in a professional, timely, and confidential manner.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial reports and reconciliation of payroll accounts.
- Collaborate with the Finance and HR departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and process corrections.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of verifiable experience in payroll processing or a related accounting role.
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or similar) and HRIS systems is required.
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll tax reporting requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive financial data with absolute confidentiality.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex payroll issues effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
