Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (FLSA, FICA, unemployment)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and voluntary deductions with 100% accuracy
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies within 24 hours
- Prepare and file quarterly payroll tax returns and year-end forms (W-2, 1099)
- Collaborate with HR and benefits teams for open enrollment and life events
- Implement process improvements to reduce payroll processing time by 15%
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience
- Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll platforms
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamentals of Payroll) certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of multi-state tax laws and compliance requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail with proven error rates below 0.5%
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
