Responsibilities
- Process semi-monthly payroll for all employees using [Payroll Software], ensuring accurate calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions.
- Prepare and file federal and state payroll tax returns (Form 941, W-2s, W-3s) and maintain compliance with Nevada and federal regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax forms, and payroll discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including time sheets, leave balances, and tax documentation, ensuring data integrity.
- Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and update compensation structures.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes related to payroll general ledger accounts.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of verifiable experience in payroll processing or a related accounting function.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state payroll laws, tax codes, and compliance requirements (FLSA, FICA, etc.).
- Proficiency in payroll administration software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Ceridian) and Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
