Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees using [ADP/Workday], ensuring 100% accuracy and timely delivery.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax returns, including quarterly and annual reconciliation.
- Manage payroll-related inquiries from employees regarding pay stubs, deductions, and tax forms.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing payroll reports, W-2s, and supporting documentation.
- Update and maintain employee personnel files with accurate payroll information and documentation.
- Calculate commissions, bonuses, and overtime pay according to company policies and labor laws.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing in a professional environment.
- Proficient in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or Workday) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and payroll tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with staff and tax authorities.
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or Certification in Payroll (CPP/ACP) preferred.
