In this role, you will be the backbone of our compensation operations, ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. You will work closely with HR and management to streamline payroll processes and resolve complex inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for over 500 employees, including multi-state and international payrolls, ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, including FLSA, FICA, and FUTA regulations.
- Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax reports, reconciling accounts to maintain audit readiness.
- Handle complex employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, deductions, and tax information with a focus on exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with the Benefits team to ensure accurate deduction calculations for health insurance, 401k, and voluntary benefits.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now to maintain accurate records and generate comprehensive reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of full-cycle payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Workday, or Paychex) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of wage and hour laws, including FLSA and state-specific regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies and resolve issues proactively.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to non-finance staff.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification (e.g., CPP or FPC) is a plus but not required.
