Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end payroll processing for over 500 employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Calculate and process commissions, bonuses, and garnishments accurately.
- Prepare and file monthly and quarterly payroll tax returns (Form 941, state returns) to ensure full compliance with FLSA and IRS regulations.
- Conduct thorough audits of payroll data to resolve discrepancies and investigate employee inquiries regarding pay stubs and deductions.
- Collaborate with the HR team to maintain accurate employee timekeeping records and leave balances.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing payroll reports and supporting documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws and payroll regulations to ensure the company remains compliant.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional payroll processing experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with payroll software (ADP Workforce Now, Paychex, or equivalent) is required.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll tax laws, FLSA, and wage garnishment regulations.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to non-financial staff.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines during payroll processing cycles.
