The Role:
In this pivotal role, you will manage the full-cycle payroll process for a diverse workforce. You will ensure timely and accurate payments while maintaining strict adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis using ADP Workforce Now, including tax filings and deductions.
- Handle payroll inquiries from employees regarding pay stubs, tax documents, and time-off balances.
- Maintain and audit payroll records, reconciling general ledger accounts and preparing month-end reports.
- Coordinate with the HR team to ensure accurate data entry for new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and tax laws to ensure organizational compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end W-2s and 1099s.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Proven expertise with ADP (Workforce Now) or similar payroll software platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll tax laws, including federal, state, and local regulations in Colorado.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for employee relations.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
