The Role:
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll for our growing workforce. You will ensure that all payments are accurate, timely, and compliant with federal and state regulations. You will also act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, ensuring a seamless experience for our staff.

Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll runs for over 200 employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring 100% accuracy in wage calculations.
- Maintain strict compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including FLSA, ACA, and Georgia state regulations.
- Manage and process payroll-related deductions, including garnishments, 401(k) contributions, and health benefits.
- Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts and resolve any payroll discrepancies or tax filings.
- Collaborate with the HR department to update payroll records for new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation or tax status.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax documents (W-2s, 1099s), and time-off balances in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns and reports.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional payroll experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in payroll software, specifically ADP Workforce Now, UKG, or Ceridian Dayforce.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations, including Georgia specific laws.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors before processing.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to non-finance staff.
- Payroll certification (e.g., CPP or PHR) is a plus but not required.
