Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees semi-monthly using ADP Workforce Now
- Calculate and garnish wage deductions, benefits deductions, and tax withholdings
- Ensure compliance with FLSA, CA labor laws, and IRS regulations
- Manage time and attendance systems, resolving discrepancies proactively
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax returns
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries within 24 hours
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare year-end forms (W-2, 1099)
- Collaborate with HR on onboarding/offboarding payroll processes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- ADP Workforce Now certification or equivalent ERP system expertise
- Deep knowledge of CA labor laws, FLSA compliance, and payroll taxation
- Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and payroll reporting tools
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred
- Proven track record of 100% payroll accuracy and on-time delivery
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data
