Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring 100% accuracy and timely payments.
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual federal and state payroll tax reports, including Form 941 and state specific returns.
- Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, garnishments, and deductions promptly to ensure employee confidence.
- Collaborate with the HR department to update employee records, process new hire onboarding, and manage changes in status (leave, promotions, terminations).
- Generate and distribute comprehensive payroll reports to management, including accruals, retro pay calculations, and labor cost analysis.
- Answer employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax documents (W-2s), and direct deposit details with a high degree of customer service.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven experience in payroll processing, preferably within a high-volume corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance standards (FLSA, FICA, FUTA, etc.).
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Gusto) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources is preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with absolute confidentiality.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex payroll issues and resolve them efficiently.
