Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 200+ employees across multiple states
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (federal/state/local withholding, FICA, SUI)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and benefit enrollments with 100% accuracy
- Conduct payroll audits and reconcile discrepancies weekly
- Generate payroll reports for leadership and external audits
- Support HR with timekeeping system administration and troubleshooting
- Stay updated on payroll legislation changes (FLSA, ACA, etc.)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros)
- Deep knowledge of federal/state/local tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle confidential data with utmost discretion
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
