We are looking for a dedicated and precise Payroll Specialist to join our growing finance team in Henderson, NV. In this role, you will ensure our employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining strict compliance with federal and state regulations.
What You Will Do:
• Oversee the complete end-to-end payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for a diverse workforce.
• Manage payroll tax filings and reconciliation, minimizing the company's liability and ensuring compliance with FLSA and state laws.
• Serve as the primary liaison for employee payroll inquiries, resolving discrepancies with professionalism and efficiency.
• Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify trends and prevent errors before they occur.
• Prepare and distribute comprehensive payroll reports to management and HR for decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Execute the accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll for over 400 employees using ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensure all wage and hour data, deductions, and benefits are calculated correctly and applied per employee agreements.
- File and remit federal, state, and local payroll taxes in a timely manner to avoid penalties.
- Address and resolve complex payroll-related questions from staff regarding pay stubs, direct deposits, and tax documents.
- Collaborate with the HR department to update employment records, tax forms (W-4, I-9), and termination data.
- Assist in the annual year-end audit process, providing necessary payroll documentation and reports.
- Stay abreast of changes in payroll legislation and recommend updates to internal policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Proficient in ADP, Paychex, or similar payroll software platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll tax compliance requirements.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis) are required.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of zero-error processing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with staff and management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred; Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
