Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle payroll processing for a diverse workforce, ensuring timely and accurate payment on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
- Calculate and process federal, state, and local tax withholdings, garnishments, and other deductions with absolute precision.
- Prepare and file monthly and quarterly payroll tax returns, ensuring full compliance with FLSA regulations and Nebraska state laws.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data and bank statements to identify and resolve discrepancies immediately.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication.
- Collaborate with the HR department to maintain accurate employee records, timecards, and compensation data.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within the manufacturing or equipment sector.
- Proficiency in payroll platforms such as ADP Workforce Now, Paylocity, or Ceridian.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll tax laws, including 941, W-2, and W-4 forms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and the ability to analyze large datasets.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet strict deadlines under pressure.
