Responsibilities
- Process and verify all incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and authorization.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or billing errors promptly.
- Prepare and issue payments via ACH, wire transfer, or check in accordance with payment terms.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the general ledger and AP software.
- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment status, invoices, and account inquiries.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and prepare supporting schedules for audits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel skills preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting.
