Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees using ADP and QuickBooks software.
- Calculate and verify gross pay, deductions, taxes, and net pay according to federal and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including tax forms and bank information.
- Prepare and distribute monthly payroll reports to management and HR.
- Assist with year-end processes, including W-2 and 1099 preparation and filings.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax documents, and payroll discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with FLSA, Wisconsin labor laws, and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or HR is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in payroll processing, accounting, or a similar administrative role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws, FLSA, and state-specific regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors before processing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with staff.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
