We're seeking a meticulous Payroll Clerk to join our dynamic team and ensure accurate, timely payroll processing for our diverse client base. Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 200+ employees using ADP and QuickBooks
- Calculate garnishments, deductions, and tax withholdings with 100% accuracy
- Generate payroll reports for management and ensure compliance with CA labor laws
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries within 24 hours
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare quarterly tax filings
- Assist with year-end processing including W-2 distribution and 1099 preparation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state knowledge
- Proficiency in ADP, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred
- Strong understanding of FLSA, CA labor codes, and tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with proven error rates <0.5%
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
