Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 250 employees using ADP Workforce Now and QuickBooks, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions.
  • Verify timekeeping data, review timesheets for errors, and resolve discrepancies before payroll processing.
  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax returns (Form 941, W-2s, W-4s) in compliance with FLSA and state regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including changes in status, addresses, and tax information, ensuring data integrity.
  • Administer payroll-related benefits, such as 401(k) contributions and health insurance deductions, and communicate changes to staff.
  • Assist in the annual audit process by providing detailed payroll reports and documentation to external auditors.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax forms, and deductions in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources is preferred; High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing or a related accounting role.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
