Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (1040, 1120, 1065)
- Conduct tax planning consultations and provide strategic advice
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Utilize ProSystem fx and Lacerte tax software efficiently
- Manage client documentation and maintain organized digital files
- Collaborate with senior associates on complex tax cases
- Stay current with tax law changes through continuous education
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience
- Proficiency in tax software (ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or TurboTax)
- Active CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse clientele
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid North Carolina CPA license if applicable
