Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring full compliance with GAAP standards.
- Bookkeeping & Reconciliation: Manage daily general ledger entries, reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and inter-company accounts with precision.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the monthly payroll process for a select group of employees, ensuring accurate tax withholdings and benefit deductions.
- Compliance & Audits: Maintain organized and up-to-date audit trails; assist in external and internal audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve internal controls and financial reporting workflows within the department.
- Vendor Management: Review and process accounts payable invoices, verifying terms and ensuring timely payments to vendors.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification: CPA certification is highly preferred; CMA or EA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or senior-level responsibilities.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a proven track record of accuracy in financial data management.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
