Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounts payable and receivable processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Conduct detailed bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings, ensuring full compliance with Washington state regulations.
- Collaborate with the external audit team to provide necessary documentation and support.
- Maintain and update the general ledger system, ensuring all entries are properly classified and documented.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a public or corporate setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, tax laws, and internal control procedures.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and error detection.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
